Robert was a good brother in law. He will be missed. I enjoyed the time, short as it was, that I did get to spend with him when he was here in North Carolina. He helped me cut a huge dead tree limb down in our back yard on one of his visits. His job was to drive the lawn tractor with a rope tied to the end of the limb and pull it clear of the tree and the ladder I was on, cutting with the chainsaw. When I gave him the signal to go nothing happened. He was just sitting there. The huge limb came down between my ladder and the tree trunk barely missing knocking the ladder out from under me. But all was ok and the limb was down. When I asked Robert why he didn't go when I gave him the signal he said "I was giving her all she had captain!" The little riding lawn mower didn't have enough power. But the way he put it sounded like an episode of Star Trek! He was always willing to help.
